Beantown All-Star Band

Adding to our fantastic lineup this year, Sunday night will feature a collaboration with all of our bandleaders for the Beantown All-Star Band! That means Danny Jonokuchi, Taryn Newborne, Gordon Webster, and fabulous musicians from the weekend! With that much talent sharing the stage, you know it will be an amazing night.

Danny Jonokuchi & The Revisionists

Danny Jonokuchi & The Revisionists are “today’s premier swing band” (Broadway World) from New York City. Fueled by a love of dancing, their music has been described as “smile-inducing” (DownBeat) as well as “crisp, clean, and refreshingly joyful” (Syncopated Times). Their new album, “Together Again” (2022), was released following their headlining performance at Lincoln Center’s Summer For The City Festival.

Taryn Newborne and The Real Deal

Born in Memphis and raised in Atlanta, vocalist Taryn Newborne is rooted deeply in the soil of a rich musical heritage. She has often said that she loves music so much, it hurts her feelings. After years of dancing in her local Lindy Hop scene, one of the major organizers suggested that Taryn put her own group together for dances. Taryn Newborne and The Real Deal was born. She’d finally found her home, situated between her love of singing and Lindy Hop.

Gordon Webster Band

Pianist Gordon Webster is one of the most sought after musicians in the Lindy Hop world and we are excited to have him back again at Beantown! His tremendous musicianship and passion, supported by his first-hand knowledge of social dancing, have inspired Lindy Hoppers at hundreds of dance events worldwide. Drawing on influences as diverse as Fats Waller, Count Basie, Oscar Peterson and Gene Harris, he serves up a smorgasbord of styles unified by one characteristic: irresistible danceability.
