Tony & Aurelie Tye

Tony and Aurelie met as beginner dancers in Boston in 1990, first experienced Lindy Hop in 1992 and have been hooked ever since! With their own Hop to the Beat Dance Studio, much of their energy has been focused on their local scene. Regularly teaching classes since 1995, they’re as passionate about sharing the joy of dancing as when they first began. For many years they hosted the monthly Uptown Swing Dance and special weekend events with international instructors. Since 1997 they have hosted the annual week long Beantown Camp, bringing together Lindy Hoppers from around the world. Tony and Aurelie are the Competition Coordinators for the International Lindy Hop Championships and were privileged to perform that same role for Frankie 95 and again for Frankie 100. They played a major role in establishing the growing Lindy Hop community in New England, have taught at workshops and dance events throughout the East Coast from Maine to Florida, and have appeared at numerous public and private events.
