Taryn Newborne & The Real Deal deliver hard-swinging jazz built for the dance floor. Born in Memphis and raised in Atlanta, vocalist Taryn Newborne found her musical home in the Lindy Hop community, where her love of singing and dancing came together.

Leading a tight rhythm section and horns, Taryn approaches every set with the dancers in mind. Rather than relying on a fixed set list, she reads the room and calls tunes in the moment, shaping the music around the energy of the floor. The result is a night of classic swing and blues where the band and dancers create the experience together.

Taryn has collaborated with The Glenn Miller Orchestra, Michael Gamble and the Rhythm Serenaders, Paul Cosentino and the Boilermakers, Danny Jonokuchi, and Gordon Webster, and has appeared at events including the International Lindy Hop Championships, Beantown Camp, Lindy Focus, Atlanta Lindy Exchange, Backwater Blues, Holy City Blues Exchange, Lindy Fest, and more.
