Imagine the smell of the salt air as you approach the campus,
consider the sound of the waves breaking on the sand, envision
the sun reflecting off of the blue ocean... Endicott College campus
has all of this and more!
Founded in 1939, Endicott College is beautifully situated
in Beverly, Massachusetts on the shores of Massachusetts Bay in
a private setting
only
20 miles north of Boston. It is easily accessed by major
highways and the commuter rail. The 200 acre oceanfront campus
featuring
woods, open lawns, 3 private beaches and unique facilities
is naturally conducive to providing a superb, peaceful setting
for
a jam-packed
weekend and full week of energy, exhilaration and camaraderie.
On campus, all of the buildings are centrally located with an
easy walk through campus roads and pathways from place to place.
The
college has continued to grow and evolve since it was first
opened. The facilities include some of the buildings that were
originally
on the property and newer ones such as the Post Center (the
athletic facilities) which was built in 1999.
All of the dorm options are good choices depending on your
particular taste, each with it's unique characteristics.
You may prefer the
Townhouses which are very similar to an apartment,
or the charm
of Winthrop Hall, one of the original estate houses
just off the beach that has been turned into a dorm.
Other amenities on campus include the Beantown
Café and
game room for evening socializing, a Cyber Café for
convenient access to email, fitness
center, gym, tennis and beach volleyball.
Just a short walk across the main road are the ocean and
the college beaches. This is also where you will find
Tupper Hall,
a beautiful
estate designed in 1901 by Guy Lowell who also designed
Boston's Museum of Fine Arts. The mansion was the summer
home of the
Bryce Allan family, owners of the Allan Steamship
Lines and founders
of the college. Today it is a popular location for weddings,
business meetings and special occasions.
You can view the Endicott
College Campus Map on the college's
web site to get a look at the campus and buildings.
