Mini-Tracks

Balboa 1 (Beg–Int)
This level is both for those who are new to Balboa as well as those with some experience. If you are a beginner, this mini-track will give you a foundation to get you started and out on the dance floor, adding some Balboa to your repertoire. If you have been taking Balboa classes and social dancing for awhile, this will be the best level for you to take your Balboa to the next stage. You may have already learned the basics of Balboa and Bal-Swing such as break turns, crabwalks, paddle steps, lollies and crossovers, but you would like to smooth out your movements and improve transitions. You can manage socially and may even be able to get through a whole song, but your repertoire that you are comfortable with is limited. You have some difficulty adjusting to partners of different levels and find things can fall apart at faster tempos, but you are ready to meet the challenge!
Balboa 2 (Int–Int/Adv)
This level is for those who have regularly taken classes and for whom Balboa has become a comfortable feature of your social dancing. You have mastered all of the basic moves and transitions and would like to take your Balboa to a higher level by gaining a true feel for the dance. You are comfortable learning more complex moves, are looking to add more slides, styling and footwork variations as well as making your dancing more musical. You can easily adjust to partners of different levels and are very comfortable at tempos up to at least 200bpm.
Jazz/Solo Charleston 1 (Beg–Int)
Solo dancing is an excellent way to work on individual dance skills and rhythm while expanding your repertoire of authentic Jazz and Solo Charleston variations. Although not specifically progressive, these classes will be an ideal opportunity for those wanting to get started and gain confidence as a solo dancer.
Jazz/Solo Charleston 2 (Int/Adv–Adv)
For more experienced dancers, here’s your opportunity to take solo classes with a variety of instructors. The classes will be challenging, energetic and fun! All will be aimed at intermediate/advanced to advanced levels. This series will not be progressive.
Eric’s Hip Hop Combo (Int+)
If you have taken Eric’s classes in the past, you already know what an amazing instructor he is! This will be an opportunity to stretch yourself and work more intensely on your individual dance skills. Classes are non-partner and will be aimed at intermediate to advanced dancers.
Blues (Beg–Int)
For those who would like to concentrate more intensely on Blues movement and dancing. This series will not be progressive from class to class, but each one will be aimed at beginner to intermediate dancers.
Focused Topics/Variety Pack
Optional classes will also be offered during the Mini-Track time slots for those preferring to take a variety of different classes. Many of the classes are grouped under certain topics for those who would like to focus in particular areas. Topical groups include:
